TX store sells $144 million-winning lottery ticket

<div id="subtitle">Winner of $144 million Mega Millions jackpot buys ticket in Houston-area convenience store</div><div><p>The Texas Lottery Commission says someone who bought a ticket at a Houston-area convenience store is the winner of the $144 million Mega Millions jackpot.</p><p>Commission Deputy Executive Director Gary Grief says the winner of Friday's multistate lottery prize has yet to come forward and claim the haul.</p><p>The commission said in a statement Monday that the ticket was sold at a Short Stop market in Katy, 26 miles from Houston, and that store is eligible for a $1 million retailer bonus.</p><p>Texas has also started selling tickets for the multistate, big-jackpot Powerball lottery. The first Powerball drawing for which Texas tickets will be eligible will take place Wednesday night with an estimated jackpot of $107 million.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=68287509&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
